Internationally famous Cleophus Robinson is better than ever after forty-one years of gospel singing, I am pleased to have made acquaintance with this dynamic star, whose life has been an inspiration to so many. As president of the World Conference of Black Mayors, I was elated when the prime minister of Nassau, Bahamas gave us audience. He was deeply moved by Rev. Robinson's performance. In 1975, Rev. Robinson appeared and performed at the Montreaux Jazz Festival, where he was recorded live. As usual, his performance was fervent and exciting. And believe me, it was remembered. The proof: He was included in the Montreaux Jazz Festival Publication, "They All Played Montreaux" and out of 15,000 artists who have preformed at the Montreaux Jazz Festival, Rev. Robinson was chosen along with 200 other artists to be honored in the publication, "On Stage Backstage: Montreaux Jazz Festival". Rev. Robinson was honored along with such other musical greats as Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Herbie Hancock, Oscar Peterson, and Roberta Flack.
