Elvis toured Canada only once - the year was 1957, and it's been rockin' ever since. "Elvis-is-coming-to-Canada" rumours were rampant in 1975. RCA Record Tours did in fact check hotel accommodation and transportation for a Canadian tour, but the final dates and places were never completed. As fate would have it, Canada turned out to be the only country outside the United States to ever experience Elvis Presley in concert. This Canadian Tribute Album features Elvis' biggest hits of 1957 and memorable performances of songs by Canada's most famous artists and composers: the songs of Gordon Lightfoot, Gene MacLellan, Buffy Ste. Marie, Hank Snow, Paul Anka, and The Diamonds. This is a very special album by a very special man.
